'Accelerated Path to Wings' pilot training makes history Looking back on the last two weeks, its crazy to think I started with very minimal knowledge and skills to walking away with my private pilots license. Great concept. Overall the training was very personalized and made me a much better pilot than when I started. But, while I was fully committed to finishing up, the school I signed up with was shall we say somewhat partially committed. Im definitely going back to AFIT for instrument training and I cant wait to have Paul as my instructor and mentor again. John helped me finish up my fixed wing add-on rating in just five (5) short days. For me, the most important key to successfully completing this flight training Boot Camp was having the right instructor. He quickly assessed where I was in my training and we practiced a few things and I soloed in just four days and the rest of the training went very smoothly.
